Original files and recovered copies remain on your Mac and are never uploaded by the app.
Information the app processes
Legacy File Rescue processes only the files and records you choose as part of its core workflow. Processing is performed locally on your Mac. The app does not require an Alfago Lab account.
Data collection
The app is designed without advertising, cross-app tracking or an Alfago Lab analytics service. Alfago Lab does not receive the content you open, the working records you create or the files you export through the app.
Files stored on your Mac
The app may store preferences, security-scoped file bookmarks, recovery information and workflow history locally so requested work can continue safely. Outputs are written only when you choose an export location. Removing the app’s local data does not remove files you previously exported elsewhere.
Purchases
If the app offers an App Store purchase, Apple processes the transaction. The app may read App Store transaction status to restore or unlock eligible features. Alfago Lab does not receive payment-card information through the app.
Support email
If you contact support, Alfago Lab receives the information you include in your email and uses it only to answer your request. Do not send confidential source files; use a synthetic or redacted example when troubleshooting requires an attachment.
Changes to this policy
If the shipping app’s behavior changes, this page and its effective date will be updated. App Store privacy answers must remain consistent with the released build.
